X-Chat 2.8.6 Released
The latest version of X-Chat has hit us with the release announcement being very clear on zed's critics in terms of turn around time, there has
been a fair amount of criticism thrown his away ever since the windows release turned into a shareware application. Furthermore since the turn in strategy with the windows release the higher versions seemed to have swapped around - windows always at one point appeared to lag behind the source release however the shareware version now even at this new release is a superior version ( if numbers count, which IMHO they don't )
Despite the masses of critics X-Chat remains the most dominant IRC client that comes complete with a GUI ( some argue irssi is the most used period ) This new release brings in a whole heap of fixes. The official announcement read like this for this interested:
After some complaining and whining from a few people about how long it's taking, we've finally released a new Linux version: 2.8.6, enjoy.

IceChat Updates

IceChat Updates
As you all may be well aware, there has not been an update to IceChat 7 for a little while. Currently, things are just at a little bit of a slow down, but the ball is still rolling.
With IceChat 7.70, we are making a new tabbed interface with a tab bar replacing the current Channel Bar. The tabs will be able to be dragged around with ease, as was a request for quite some time. It will also be multi-lines when the bar gets too full.
Thanks again for your patience!
IceChat Scripters
I have noticed in the past few months, how many more people are scripting with IceChat. I find this simply outstanding that people are finally harnessing the client with its full potential. The forums are getting filled with a lot more posts regarding scripting, and a lot more people participating as well.
I say to you all, keep it up. We will need to build a better Scripting section in the Downloads section of the website, to allow people to upload their own scripts with ease. But for now, you can simply message me in the forum if you wish to have a script added to the Download section.
Thanks again to all of you Scripters out there!
